History
Jama Masjid was originally built during the Nizam Shahi period and later renovated under Mughal patronage, and it remains an active place of worship and a notable piece of Aurangabad's architectural history — a rare chance to see period architecture still serving its original purpose rather than roped off behind a ticket counter.
Visiting
The mosque is open daily outside of prayer times, and visitors are welcome to view the architecture respectfully from designated areas. As with any active mosque, modest dress and quiet, respectful behaviour are expected, especially during prayer hours.
